Australian Animal Welfare Strategy: an inspiring example for the next EU Strategy

This week, Sonja Van Tichelen, Director of Eurogroup for Animals, is attending WSPA board meeting in London, UK. During this event, the new Australian Animal Welfare Strategy (2010-2014) has been presented. Described as very comprehensive, it provides also significant funding to protect all animals.

“This new Australian Animal Welfare Strategy is extremely encouraging and we hope that it will inspire the European Commission as it currently finalises its strategy”, said Sonja Van Tichelen.
